Ann Hardy is
a very talented artist who is living life as fully and well as she knows
how. For Ann, the joy of painting is in the process (journey) and not
the destination. Growth in life and art is the most exciting thing she
can think of. Her philosophy is to keep moving, but not in the
direction that fear makes you move. You must be willing to risk and be
at home in your own skin. For her it's fun to be slightly?? eccentric.
(And she plays that to the hilt) by painting in a 12 by 12 foot tree
house.
In 2003 she
was awarded the Rocky Mountian Plein Aire Painters Quick draw People’s
Choice Award and placed first in the ACA Show, the Trinity Show, the
Landscape Division at the Graham National “Art Splash” and at Irving’s
“Fantasia” event. She won an award at the Greenhouse Gallery
International Salon of Contemporary Art Show and “best of show” at the
Irving Show. She participated in shows with the Oil Painters of
America, the Petroleum Club in Plano, the Signature gallery in Plano,
Greenhouse Gallery in San Antonio, the ACA Show, the Trinity Show, The
Graham National “Art Splash”, the Irving “Fantasia” event, the Creative
Arts Center in Colleyville, TX, the Society of Traditional Artists at
the Plaza of Americas and the Sandpiper Gallery, Polson, MT.
Ann holds
Signature Memberships in the following: The Oil Painters of America,
Texas and Neighbors, Southwestern Watercolor Society, Associated
Creative Artists, Southwestern Watercolor Association, and Rocky
Mountain Plein Aire Painters. She has been published in the following
publications: International Artist's Magazine, "Splash 6" and "Splash
8", "International Watercolor", "Watercolor Magic" and "American
